Bots for Lots

Engaging children in robotics building, programming and team competition to discover a new passion, increase self-confidence, and practice teamwork. We are committed to bring robotics to more people locally and globally including underprivileged groups through summer camps, workshops, trade-shows and YouTube channel.

  • Hosted First LEGO League summer camps for the last 4 years. 

  • Reached out to 17 teams in our FIRST Scrimmages.

  • Mentored multiple FLL teams throughout their season.

  • Organized LEGO Robotics workshop for San Diego ALL GIRLS STEM Society.

  • Presented at the greater San Diego Science and Engineering Fair Family Day.

  • Started a YouTube channel that broadcasts our competitions and local STEM events-over 50000 views worldwide. 

  • Donated six LEGO machine kits to an orphanage in South Africa. 

  • Mentored a team in China. 

Activities 

Actively Engage with the engineering community including:

  • We are a FIRST Tech Challenge robotics team, The Clueless #11212.

  • The top team out of 66 San Diego regional teams in 2019.

  • League Meet 3 -1st Place Semifinalist Captain.

  • One of three teams to qualify for the FIRST World Championships in Houston.

  • League Championships-Winning Alliance, Inspire Award 2nd place, Control Award, connect Award, Motivate Award and Rockwell Collins Innovate Award Finalist.

  • Regional Championships-Semifinalist Alliance, Rockwell Collins Innovate Award Winner.

  • Placed 13th out of 80 world-class teams at the 2019 Houston World Championships.
